Discover the Wild Beauty of Costa Rica Through Your Lens

Home to more than 900 bird species—including the elusive Resplendent Quetzal and the colorful Keel-billed Toucan—Costa Rica packs an astonishing amount of wildlife into just 21,000 square miles. Join a local expert with over 20 years of experience and explore the breathtaking biodiversity and vibrant culture of this remarkable Central American destination.

Our journey begins in Costa Rica’s northern plains, a wildlife-rich region shaped by important biological corridors and its proximity to a protected reserve, where our first eco-lodge is located. Costa Rica is a global leader in conservation, with more than 25% of its territory protected, making it one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet. With no standing army since 1948 and nearly 5% of the world’s biodiversity within its borders, it’s an extraordinary setting for expanding and enriching your photography portfolio.

Arriving early? No problem. The hotel gardens are a paradise for macro photography, filled with native and exotic flowers that will keep your camera busy. In the evening, we’ll meet in the conference room for a brief orientation before enjoying a welcome dinner together.

The photo tour officially begins in the northern plains, where we’ll spend three nights fully immersed in wildlife photography. From there, we’ll move to a cooler, rainforest-covered region ideal for photographing both birds and mammals. Our final destination is the Costa Rican highlands, where you’ll have the opportunity to photograph one of the country’s most iconic species—the magnificent Resplendent Quetzal.

Traveling from just 30 meters to over 3,000 meters above sea level, this tour spans an impressive range of ecosystems and photographic opportunities. With such extraordinary diversity, you’re sure to return home with a portfolio filled with memorable images.

Let me show you Costa Rica through my eyes—an unforgettable photographic adventure awaits.
