Discover the Wild Beauty of Costa Rica Through Your Lens!

Home to over 900 species of birds—including the elusive resplendent quetzal and the vibrant keel-billed toucan—Costa Rica offers an extraordinary array of wildlife packed into just 21,000 square miles. Join a local expert with over 20 years of experience and let him guide you through the breathtaking biodiversity and rich culture of this Central American gem.

Our journey begins in the northern plains of Costa Rica, an area teeming with wildlife thanks to its position within several natural corridors and its proximity to a protected reserve, home to our first eco-lodge. Costa Rica’s pioneering role in conservation has led to over 25% of its territory being designated as protected land, making it one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth. With no standing army since 1948 and housing 5% of the world’s biodiversity, it’s an ideal setting to add variety and color to your photography portfolio.

Arriving early? No problem! The hotel’s garden is a haven for macro photography, brimming with native and exotic flowers that will keep your lens busy. In the evening, we’ll gather in the conference room to get acquainted before sharing a welcome dinner.

The photo tour officially begins in the northern plains, where we’ll spend three nights immersed in wildlife photography. From there, we’ll transition to a cooler region surrounded by lush rainforest, perfect for capturing both birds and mammals in their natural habitat. Our final destination is the highlands of Costa Rica, where you’ll have the chance to photograph the magnificent resplendent quetzal.

This journey takes you through an altitudinal range from just 30 meters to over 3,000 meters above sea level, offering an impressive diversity of ecosystems and subjects. With so many species to photograph, you’re sure to leave with a portfolio full of keepers.

Let me show you Costa Rica through my eyes—an unforgettable adventure awaits.
